Cap and Stem Northwest is a nonprofit organization focused on edible mushrooms, and the benefits they can bring to our total health and wellbeing. Cap & Stem, Mind & Body.

Our mission is to increase awareness and access to beneficial mushrooms; gourmet, medicinal, and psychedelic.

We believe that everyone can benefit from eating more mushrooms, and psilocybin therapy has massive potential in the mental health industry. Access to education, resources, and affordable services can often be a challenge for communities who could benefit the most. Elderly people, military veterans, first responders, queer people, and anyone who suffers from anxiety, depression, and substance abuse are the communities that need the most support.

As a registered 501(c)(3) organization (in-process), we are dedicated to celebrating mushrooms not only for their gastronomic delights but also as powerful allies in promoting human health and ecological harmony. Through the successful execution of our strategic plan, We envision a future where mushrooms are embraced as integral components of holistic health and wellness practices in the Pacific Northwest. Our goal is to empower individuals to harness the unique benefits of mushrooms for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

In this envisioned future:

• Gourmet, medicinal, and psychedelic mushrooms are prominently featured on restaurant menus and integrated into healthcare practices, symbolizing a shift towards a food-as-medicine paradigm.

• Individuals facing health challenges such as cancer, anxiety, substance abuse, and depression have comprehensive knowledge about the therapeutic potential of mushrooms and access to appropriate resources.

• Elderly individuals recognize and leverage the cognitive and life quality benefits offered by mushrooms, contributing to enhanced well-being in aging populations.

• Safe, convenient, and affordable access to state-regulated psychedelic mushroom therapy is available to those in need, promoting mental health and personal growth.
